Three Longwood Squads Honored for NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR)Published by
FARMVILLE, Va. - Longwood University women's cross country, women's golf and softball have each earned an NCAA Public Recognition Award after posting a perfect score of 1,000 in the latest release of the multi-year NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR). This is the sixth consecutive year that women's golf has notched a flawless, multi-year APR score within the Top 10 percent of all Division I women's golf teams, while women's cross country has received the distinguished honor for the last three years. This year, the NCAA recognized more than 970 Division I sports teams for their exceptional work in the classroom as part of the NCAA's Academic Performance Program.
