Longwood 34th At NCAA Southeast Regionals; Junior Alisha Royal Sets New 6K RecordPublished by
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Longwood University posted 967 points to finish 34th among 35 teams Saturday at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships at the E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky. The University of Virginia took first place with 107 points, and University of North Carolina runner Kendra Schaaf was the individual winner with her time of 19:52, while junior Alisha Royal|Vinton (William Byrd) led the Lancers with her new school-record and personal-best time of 22:21 over the 6000-meter course. It's the second school-record that she has established this fall along with her 5K time of 18:22.
